We offer a range of different services here at The Spires Health Centre.

Listed below are the names of people we work alongside and the services they offer.

Dr Ajay Ramachandran

As well as his appointments, Dr Ajay also offers:

  • Medication Reviews 10 minutes
  • Joint injections 20 minutes
  • Medical Reports 30-45 minutes
  • Telephone consultations every day

Dr Divya Chikkaveeraiah

As well as her appointments, Dr Divya also offers:

  • Medication Reviews 10 minutes
  • Post natal & baby check 30 minutes
  • Medical Reports 30-45 minutes
  • She also works alongside Secondary Care Consultants and a Specialist Diabetes Nurse 
  • Telephone consultations every day

Sue Lewis

Our practice nurse Sue offers a number of clinics as listed below:

  • Asthma clinic 20 minutes
  • Diabetic clinic 20 minutes
  • COPD clinic 20 minutes
  • Spirometry 15-30 minutes
  • Dressing changes 10-20 minutes
  • Child immunisations 10 minutes
  • Removal of stitches 10-20 minutes
  • Flu injections 5 minutes
  • Child nasal flu 10 minutes
  • Contraception clinic 10-20 minutes
  • Blood pressure check 10 minutes
  • CHD check 20 minutes
  • Learning disability clinic 30 minutes
  • Well man/woman clinic 15 minutes
  • Sexual health advice 10-15 minutes
  • Life style counselling 10-20 minutes

Antenatal Care

We have a midwife who is part of the Sandwell Community Midwifery team hold a clinic at the surgery every Friday morning. Her appointments are 20 minutes

Phlebotomy Service

Due to the Current Coronavirus Pandemic we have had to suspend our Phlebotomy Services. This service usually takes place every Tuesday & Friday between 8.30am and 12.30pm.  This service is available to non- registered patients as well as registered patients. Appointments are 10 minutes.  We will re-instate these clinics as soon as we are able.

Anti-Coagulant Services on site

Due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic this service has been suspended and operates direct from the Hospital.  Spires Health Centre staff DO NOT send these appointments and any queries should be directed to them on 0121 507 5947.

Stop Smoking Clinic

The Practice normally provides a Stop Smoking Clinic on Thursday mornings.  Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the service is currently on hold.  As soon as we are able we will restart these sessions.

Counselling & Wellbeing Courses

Here at The Spires we provide rooms for counselling services for registered and non-registered patients. The counselling teams work alongside the Wellbeing Hub. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic this service is operated by Black Country Mental Health Foundation all appointments are now via telephone.

Alcohol & Drug Support

We also provide rooms for alcohol and drug support workers for registered and no-registered patients.  Due to the Covod Pandemic this service is telephone appointments only.
